Melissa is the founder + editor of Adultist, which she started in 2020 because she kept Googling the same questions everyone in their 20s wants answered but is too embarrassed to admit they don't already know. With a background in writing, digital content strategy, and editorial operations -- and nearly a decade overseeing content production across dozens of brands -- she's spent a lot of time thinking about how to write genuinely useful pieces that take verified data and turn it into something your brain can actually absorb, even when you're overstimulated or undercaffeinated. Good advice is only good if it sinks in.
She's a writer by nature, an editor by job description, and a fact-checker as needed. No matter what she'll tell you as an INFJ/older sister/lifelong obsessor-over-details, she does not have all the answers. But she *does* have strong opinions on everything from renter's insurance to how to maintain hobbies as an adult to the correct way to pack for a move -- and with a nonfiction writing degree backing her up, she's (annoyingly) thorough about it, too.
